Description

Global Operator seeking to add experienced Senior Drilling Engineers (15 years+) to their West African team. This role will provide excellent development and interesting workload assignments. This is a high profile role that will involve important decision making, due to the size and presence of this client we can offer immediate roles (permanent) across the region and similar opportunities worldwide.

Requirements for the role are:
• Carry out all aspects of well design
• Design and planning of wells
• Recommend the latest technology (UBD, Casing Drilling, Deepwater) and apply sound engineering practices and risk assessment
• Contribute to conceptual field development design, while fully appreciating technical elements of other disciplines which contribute to field development
• Develop cost and time estimates
• Prepare drilling programmes, ensuring conformance to policies and guidelines and the requirements of local government regulations

Desired Skills & Experience
The key requirements for this role are:
• Planning and executing of drilling operations
• Thorough knowledge of drilling equipment
• Thorough knowledge of drilling operations activities, ability to advise on optimum operational Practices to avoid problems and be cost effective and safe
• Sound knowledge of drilling relate software (Landmark suit) for well design

Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or equivalent with operational experience in drilling, preferably experience with an operator or a high profile service/consultancy.
