Description

As Production Engineer, coordinate, monitor, direct and control activities of production of wells to ensure that the wells produce hydrocarbons to the required quality and volume specifications in a safely and timely manner.

Technical leadership in production operations from well bore to FPSO / Subsea production facility. Perform increasingly more complex and responsible professional production engineering work pertaining to oil field development, oil and gas production/injection operations, enhanced recovery methods, and related work.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct production engineering from well borehole to production facility for developing and producing fields.
• Acquire well condition and performance data and maintain production database.
• Monitor and regulate well performance and report well performance
• Instigate, plan and direct corrective action when well performance does not confirm to target
• Plan and direct well shut downs and start-up
• Support design of well completion and well interventions.
• Overseeing Subsea and FPSO production operations and ensuring they are done safely and efficiently.
• Review the current Subsea and FPSO production facilities and explore for optimization
• Directs and/or participates in field work in connection with drilling and production operations
• Inspects field equipment; reviews and analyzes electric logs and makes well completion recommendations
• May supervise, coordinate, plan, assign, train, direct and evaluate subordinate personnel
• Performs other related duties as required
• Directs, reviews, evaluates, coordinates teams, and/or participates in the preparation of petroleum engineering projects, studies, and programs pertaining to oil field development, oil and gas production operations, reservoir performance monitoring, oil and gas reserves estimation, field equipment, enhanced recovery methods, abandonment operations and other related petroleum engineering work
• Evaluates contracts and regulations; develops budgets pertaining to oil operations
• Directs and ensures compliance with environmental and safety regulations

Required Qualifications

Candidates should have a degree in Mechanical / Industrial Engineering, Petroleum Engineering or closely related field with a minimum of 15 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry. Knowledge and ability to operate computers using spreadsheets, word processing, and other business and technical software pertaining to petroleum engineering.

Experience with deep-water subsea developments is a must.
