While Lundin Norway AS will operate with a 50% ownership stake of the project the remaining licence interests are held by OMV (Norge) AS (20%), Statoil Petroleum AS (15%) and Wintershall Norge AS (15%).
The original production licence 359 for the project was awarded back in 6 January 2006.
This new well will be the fifth to be drilled within the licence area.
The drilling permit relies upon Lundin Norway AS securing all other related permits and consents required by the authorities.
